In New York State, a district-wide safety plan must be made available for public comment for at least 30 days prior to its adoption by the Board of Education.
After this public comment period, the school board can only adopt the plan after at least one public hearing that allows for the participation of school personnel, parents, students, and any other interested parties.
Once adopted, a full copy of the District-wide School Safety Plan and any amendments must be made available to the New York State Education Department within 30 days of adoption, and no later than October 1st of each year. It is also common practice for districts to post the plan on their website.
North Warren Central School District has update their plan. If you have comments please post to the following google form. We will review all comments and update this plan accordingly. We thank you for your feedback!
