Financial Aid

Any students that plan to receive financial aid in college need to submit the FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid). Anyone applying to college is encouraged to submit it.

FSA ID - In order to complete and submit the FAFSA, students and parents must each create an FSA ID. This is the first step in applying for financial aid.

FAFSA - After students have created an FSA ID, the next step in the financial aid process is to complete and submit the FAFSA.

NYS TAP - Students planning on attending college in New York State should complete the TAP application in order to see if they qualify for NYS financial aid. This should be done after students have submitted the FAFSA.

NYS Excelsior Scholarship - The Excelsior Scholarship application is now open for anyone who is planning to attend a community or SUNY college in the fall of 2025. Students from families earning $125,000 or less may be able to attend a state operated SUNY or CUNY college tuition free.
